The Rugby Literary Festival launched in 2024, thanks to a collaborative effort from Rugby First, Rugby Borough Council and local author Lindsay Woodward.
Last year was a huge success and we’ve come back in 2025 with more events, more talent, more for everyone to get involved with, and as special family day that is sponsored by Tritax Big Box.

Rugby First
Rugby First is dedicated to making Rugby a vibrant, welcoming, and thriving town centre for everyone who lives, works, shops and visits here. As the Business Improvement District (BID) for Rugby, we work closely with local businesses, organisations, and the community to deliver a wide range of initiatives, from exciting events and seasonal celebrations to safety schemes, town centre maintenance and promotional campaigns. Our goal is to enhance the town’s appeal, support economic growth, and keep community spirit at the heart of everything we do.

Lindsay Woodward
Lindsay Woodward lives in Rugby, and she is not just a local author with 10 books to her name, but she also runs a marketing agency. Using her varied skill set, she has helped to bring together a range of talent and inspirational activities, all aimed at ensuring that there is something for everyone across the three days of the festival.
